SPARK CALENDAR EVENT - FRISBEE GOALF
About the Spark Calendar.
Every child has a spark - an animating energy that gives their life direction & purpose. Time away from the stresses & pressures of “real life” commonly helps kids identify their sparks in the wilderness - but a return to their hyper scheduled norms in “rim world” has a predictably disheartening way of extinguishing them.
GOALS is focused on nurturing & sustaining the sparks kids lit on the river through year-round activities centered around three spark categories - creativity, movement & justice. This natural progression of GOALS programming will maintain community friendships while empowering kids to maintain the senses of pure joy and wonder they discovered in the canyon long beyond the river take-out.
About THIS Spark Event.
For kids whose spark is centered around movement, we'll meet for a fun day of frisbee golf at the Beaver Ranch Disc Golf Course in Conifer. No frisbee golf experience is necessary - this is meant to be a chance to laugh together, chat about the start of our school years, and throw some discs among the changing aspen leaves on this beautiful mountain course.

When?
Sunday, October 8.
We’ll meet at 10:30am, and play frisbee golf / hang out until 1:30 (ish)
What to Bring?
Appropriate clothing for a fall day in the mountains & footwear for a mountain course.
Water.
Frisbee golf discs (if you have them).
Joy.
Cost?

Objectives:
To have fun as a GOALS community, enjoy some fall mountain air, and build/maintain connections for kids who enjoy spending time together.
Other Important Details:
Please dress appropriately for a fall day in the mountains - both in terms of clothing and footwear. The course is situated around 8000’ elevation and features forested, rolling topography.
If possible, please bring a frisbee golf disc - either one of your own or one that you borrow from someone else.
